Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I save and come back to my application?

Yes, the final page includes the link for you to save. You can (and should) come back and update it at least monthly. Applications that are incomplete are deleted after 7 days. Applications that are completed and are marked with a 'please keep on file for (this position, one year, indefinitely) will be kept for that period of time.
  2. Do I have to complete my application online?

Yes, we are a technology based company committed to reducing paper consumption. We only accept applications online.
  3. Do I have to complete a video introduction?

Yes, we have many applications and many with similar or identical names. Having your face on your application helps us to identify you clearly. We also have a strong company culture and the way you present your attitude in the video will also help us add you to the short list. Many companies will construct their potential candidate shortlist based purely on what you look like on paper. We do not judge on looks on video OR paper, instead we want to know more about YOU before we judge your potential fit in our work culture.
  4. I do not have social media accounts, does it matter if I do not include those?

We are a technology company who use and advise clients on a daily basis about technology matters including social media. We expect our team to have, use, and know about at least two of the social media options currently available.
  5. I do not have a resume, do I need one?

Yes, you should take the time to put your education and work experiences (or at least a summary) on a page (or two). While we can hear some of it on a video, or see work examples in a portfolio, how you write and present yourself also matters. We do accept good quality LinkedIn profiles as an alternative resumé.
  6. Should I include a cover letter?

Do you want to stand out from the crowd? If yes, then in the Resumé Upload section you can include your cover letter with your resumé (as a single file only - show us your technical skills!).
  7. My video sucks - what do I do?

You can re-record your video until you are happy with the result.
  8. My computer does not have a working video camera?

You can record your video on a mobile phone, or any other camera, and upload it via Youtube. We recommend you mark it private, available only to anyone with the actual link - and then provide that link in your application.
